KUCHING (April 28): Over 1,000 personnel and retirees from the Sarawak Police Contingent and their family members gathered at St Thomas Cathedral here on Tuesday to commemorate the 219th Police Day celebration with a special mass.
Attendees began arriving as early as 6.30am for the mass, which was presided by the Dean of St Thomas Cathedral, the Very Revd Kho Thong Meng.

The sermon was delivered by Anglican Bishop of Kuching, Sarawak and Brunei, the Right Revd Datuk Danald Jute.
Among those present were Kuching district police chief ACP Alexson Naga Chabu and former Sarawak police commissioner Datuk Mancha Ata.
