Painting interior walls is one of the simplest ways to freshen up a space, but experts point out that choosing the right time is key to a quality result. According to the recommendations of the masters, spring and early autumn are considered ideal periods for this work.
Moderate temperatures and lower humidity allow the paint to dry evenly and reduce the risk of stains or cracking.
During the summer months, whitewashing is possible, but high temperatures can cause the paint to dry too quickly, which makes it difficult to apply it properly.
On the other hand, in winter, humidity and poor ventilation can be a problem, especially in rooms that are not heated enough.
Experts emphasize that the optimal temperature for whitewashing is between 10 and 25 degrees Celsius, with good ventilation.
Also, it is important to avoid days with high humidity, because it prolongs the drying time and can affect the final appearance of the walls.
In addition to the season, the condition of the walls is also an important factor – if they are damp or damaged, they need to be prepared and dried beforehand.
Regular whitewashing, on average every five to seven years, is recommended in order to keep the space hygienically correct and aesthetically tidy.
The right time for whitewashing is not only a question of the date on the calendar, but also a combination of temperature, humidity and preparation of the space.
A long-lasting and high-quality result can be achieved by choosing the right moment.
