Aleksandar Vučić, the President of Serbia, in an interview with the former adviser of British Prime Minister Tony Blair, Alistair Campbell, spoke about Serbia’s relationship with Russia, China and the European Union, the media reported.
“Many people around the world started doing something against sovereign nations and changed borders because they saw that you changed our borders. We have principles, unlike you Alistair,” said Vučić.
The interview, conducted with Vučić by Alistair Campbell and Rory Stewart, was published on the Apple Podcasts platform under the title “President Aleksandar Vučić: Russia, China, and How Serbia Could Join the EU”.
New@RestIsPoliticsLEADING with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic. Gets spiky at times (we were opposite numbers during Kosovo war) but fascinating on changing geopolitical times and much more. YouTube recommended for full impact! https://t.co/8Fcv6aHjlf

Help us understand your position and relationship with Russia? Campbell asked Vučić, to which he replied: “You present yourself as a beacon of democracy, Russia is a beacon of evil, which is not true.”
As the President of Serbia added, “there are different cultures, different traditions”.
“You always talk about Serbia being a Russian puppet,” said Vučić.
“Today, if you ask the citizens of Serbia what they feel about the year 1999, they feel even more resentment and disappointment because of the behavior of 19 countries that launched aggression against a sovereign country. And people are absolutely sure that this was done, which was confirmed, without the consent of the UN, by Resolution 1244. This was not done to prevent some kind of humanitarian crisis, but it was done to separate 14% of the territory of Serbia. What was tried to be done 8-9 years later, in 2008, when they declared that unilateral independence,” said Vučić.
The media announced that Campbell came for an interview with Vučić on April 22 and reminded that he was talking about the famous spin doctor who led the media operations of NATO and the British government of Tony Blair at the time of the NATO bombing of Serbia.
Campbell was also mentioned in the Serbian public in 2015 when it was announced that he Tony Blair Vučić’s adviser, and to introduce novelties in the work of the prime minister’s cabinet, the so-called delivery junit – units for delivering, that is, special teams. Vučić was the prime minister of Serbia at the time. Campbell also gave training to Serbian government officials, the media reported at the time.
Alistair Campbell also published several photos with Vučić from his office on the X network, especially highlighting Milan Obrenović’s rifle, which the President of Serbia received as a gift from Vladimir Putin, President of Russia.
