ATASSUT GENERAL MEETING
On Saturday there was, among other things, a presidential election for Atassut. On Sunday, the party will have a seminar on the political objectives.
Saturday 31 October Atassut held its annual general meeting in Nuuk.
Here, among other things, being elected to the post of chairman was on the agenda. However, it proceeded without much fuss, says chairman Aqqalu C. Jerimiassen, who has been re-elected without a vote.
The chairman states that the discussions on political objectives continue today.
– We have decided that there are many things that must be moved one day to a seminar where we must start discussing all our political objectives for the next three years, he says to Sermitsiaq.
On Saturday, they talked about the organization itself, including how they can improve cooperation with the party’s youth department.
– Today we will start talking about Atassut’s city and village associations’ proposals.
Continues in the coalition
In June, Aqqalu C. Jerimiassen said the party should consider whether their work in the coalition should continue.
It happened that several of Atassut’s proposals during the spring assembly had been rejected by the other coalition parties. Several of the proposals were among the things the party went to the polls on.
You have previously said that your place in the coalition should be considered at the general meeting. What have you come up with?
– So far we are still satisfied with it. You can see that there is not much resistance from the entire delegation.
– So we look forward to our cooperation being strengthened on how we can cooperate better with the coalition, and of course we will probably also come up with something after the seminar with some clear points about it.
