On the night between Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th October solar time returns. At 3 in the morning the hands will have to be moved back an hour, returning to 2: you will therefore sleep an hour more. The change marks the end of summer time and will bring more light in the early hours of the day, but also early darkness in the afternoon. Smartphones, computers and digital devices will update automatically, while traditional watches will need to be adjusted manually. Standard time will remain in effect until March 28, 2027, when daylight saving time returns.
