The Special Protection Unit (UPE) CUAL of the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (MIMP) ordered on Tuesday night that the six-year-old daughter of the sculptor Luis Sifuentes Gonzáles, known as “Mamanka”, left her father’s home and was transferred, provisionally, to its facilities. The minor spent the night in said Unit.
The Special Protection Unit (UPE) CUAL of the Ministry of Women and Vulnerable Populations (MIMP) ordered on Tuesday night that the six-year-old daughter of the sculptor Luis Sifuentes Gonzáles, known as “Mamanka”, left her father’s home and was transferred, provisionally, to its facilities. The minor spent the night in said Unit.
On Sunday, in “Cuarto Poder”, Álvarez denounced that Sifuentes sexually abused her when she was 14 years old, had her transported from Colombia to Lima and subjected her, according to her testimony, to exploitation and assault. Álvarez also pointed out that she became pregnant as a result of these abuses and that she gave birth when she was just 15 years old. He is currently fighting a court battle for the possession of the minor, who, until today, remained at the defendant’s home.
The MIMP entity received the minor after initiating an emergency family protection procedure in her favor. The six-year-old girl remained with her father until today, under investigation for sexual abuse of a minor and human trafficking.
This Wednesday, the UPE Lima continues with the proceedings to determine if the minor can provisionally be placed in the care of her mother.
The measure, however, is not definitive. Although the UPE can order provisional protection actions, the decision on the custody of the minor is in the hands of the Fourth Family Court of Lima, which is in charge of the ongoing judicial process.
“I ask the Judiciary to make a final decision because I still greatly fear what could happen, there have been many accomplices and many people support him (Luis Sifuentes)“Álvarez told El Comercio.
Currently, Sifuentes is being preliminarily investigated by the Public Ministry for the alleged crimes of aggravated human trafficking and against sexual freedomin the modalities of rape of a person incapable of giving consent and rape of a minor.
