As we know, on May 4 and 5, the Armenia-EU summit will take place for the first time in Armenia, and this is a truly historic event. And Armenia will also host the EU political community summit. This will not be an exaggeration if we say that this is a truly historical event for Armenia and against this it was expected that there should be certain hybrid threats being prepared and we saw the preparatory phase of threats. Information was also received and also on various international platforms and on X’s blog, it seems that a campaign has been launched since April 6, as if quite serious different fake profiles of LGBT community activists have been created and they are expressing support for this conference and the government.
Obviously, this is an artificially formed activist movement. And we also received information that in different countries, letters are sent to different representatives of the LGBT community in Russian from Russian Telegram channels, they offer a paid service, they offer to pay the travel expenses and also to pay for that service to come to Armenia. And it exactly coincides with the days of the Armenia-European Union summit, in order to come to Armenia, take pictures, shoot videos, and show that a gay parade is taking place in Armenia.
This is clearly one of the main themes and disinformation that is commonly used to spread disinformation against the EU. And I was very surprised that this topic didn’t seem to be used particularly yet, but it was understandable that they thought it was a very good time to do another disinformation campaign against the EU, to present the EU as dealing mainly with LGBT issues, or as it is known, such an expression, they invented the word gayropa.
All of these are very well-thought-out disinformation words, and with this we must prepare our public to clearly understand that all the photos that will certainly start to be distributed in the coming months, especially in May, and will be seen on their various social networks, to clearly understand that this is another disinformation and hybrid threat.
