Evalena Johnson, who was previously reported missing, has been identified as the fourth victim in Sunday’s tragic crash on Shirley Street, police announced today. The confirmation came after family members positively identified her at around 11 a.m.
Johnson was reported missing on Monday when a 22-year-old relative informed the police that she had not been seen or heard from since Saturday. She was last spotted in the Adelaide Village area, leading police to issue a missing person flyer to enlist public assistance.
The crash, which occurred on Sunday, June 28th, at the intersection of Shirley and Church Streets, also claimed the lives of three other victims: Diamond Stubbs, 17, Betrica Brown, 18, and Stania Webb, 18. All four victims were among eight passengers involved in the accident.
Diamond, Betrica, and Stania had traveled from Cat Island to Nassau to celebrate the recent high school graduations of Betrica and Diamond. The community mourns their loss as investigations into the crash continue.
