The prime ministerial candidate of the newly assembled ruling coalition, who hurried to introduce himself to the President of Joninia, Gitanas Nausėda, said that he did not bring the list of ministerial candidates. He did not say much about the future Cabinet of Ministers.
Its composition was not clear even to the closest associates of M. Sinkevičius until the meeting with the head of the country. Some of them only guessed what political chess pieces might move, and were forced to admit a not very pleasant fact for them – the mayor of the Jonava district municipality is not inclined to discuss possible changes even with the newly assembled party leadership.
It is hoped that future changes will begin to emerge soon after M. Sinkevičius’ candidacy for prime minister is submitted to the Seimas on Thursday.
At that time, the vote on the Prime Minister in the Seimas is planned for next Tuesday. Will the meetings of the head of the country with the candidates for ministers become a marathon or an easy walk?
So far, no one dares to predict this, but it is mentioned that the parliamentarians who have already planned their vacations would like to leave the Seimas before the end of the summer, so they hope to avoid a long and grandiose change of government.
Moving the seats of power for a longer period of time would also significantly disrupt the vacation plans of future ministerial candidates, some of whom may even have to wait to cancel their pre-purchased plane tickets.
For whom will the ongoing government shakeup become a ticket to new political heights, and who will have to pack their bags and go on an unplanned vacation?
