The group phase of the World Cup is entering the very finish, which means that the knockout phase will soon begin.
Already tomorrow (Sunday) at 21:00 the first match of the round of 16 between South Africa and Canada will be played. One of the derbies of this phase of the competition will be the clash between Brazil and Japan (Monday, 7 p.m.).
“Selesao” managed to win group C thanks to a better goal difference than Morocco, while “blue samurai” took second place in group F, right behind the Netherlands.
Many believe that Japan could cause serious problems for Carlo Ancelotti’s team, however, it seems that they are not too worried in the Brazilian camp. At the press conference, the journalists were laughed at by the Brazilian attacker Ryan, who admitted that he does not know who the best player of the Asian team is.
“Man… I don’t know who their best player is. I have to watch the video material and then I can tell you. We know that Japan is a very strong team and we have to work hard to do our best and beat them,” said the 19-year-old Bournemouth footballer.
In October of last year, the Japanese beat Brazil in a friendly match (3:2), but Ryan was not part of the national team then.
