According to the online economy report, quoted by the journalists’ club, Abdul Amir Yaqouti, the general manager of the office of energy management and customer affairs planning of Tavanir company, gave explanations about the calculation of electricity bills and the classification of subscribers.
Referring to the division of subscribers into four levels, Yaquti said: The first level includes subscribers who are below the consumption pattern and make up 75% of subscribers. The second step is for subscribers who consume up to one and a half times the model, which is 15% of home subscribers. The third step includes subscribers with consumption of one and a half to two and a half times of the model, which include 8%, and the last step belongs to very high consumption subscribers who consume more than two and a half times of the model and account for 2% of the total subscribers.
He added: In terms of energy consumption, those 2% of the subscribers of the last step account for 10% of the energy consumption of the household sector. The third tier (8% of subscribers) consumes 15%, the second tier (15% of subscribers) consumes 19%, and the remaining subscribers (75%) allocate 52% of the total energy consumption.
The General Manager of the Energy Management and Customer Affairs Planning Office of Tovanir Company stated about the tariff system: Our type of tariff is designed in a stepwise manner; That is, as the amount of consumption increases, the rate also increases according to the staircase. The difference in rates in different steps is very significant; So that the rate of the last step is about 5 times the provision rate (approximately 7500 Tomans), while the rate of the first step is about 15 percent of the provision rate (approximately 220 Tomans).
In the end, Yaqouti emphasized: Therefore, subscribers who are on the last step are facing very high bills, and how much savings are made, especially in the upper steps, will naturally have a significant effect on reducing the amount of the electricity bill.
