The police have arrested the Pas de la Casa one 24-year-old non-resident during an intervention against the contraband of tobacco carried out together with Customs agents. The man was a part of a small group which carried packages with sensitive goods. The agents intercepted and arrested him, and confiscated all the bundles, with a total of 2,700 packs of tobacco valued at 10,573 eurosaccording to the police.
In addition, the police found that the detainee fails to comply with a deportation order, which is why he is also accused as the alleged author of one crime against the Public Service.
For breaching another removal order, the police also arrested, on the Franco-Andorran border, a 29-year-old non-resident.
