The “Serbia is one family” gathering is being held in Belgrade today, organized by the “Movement for the People’s State”.
As could be seen in the videos, the meeting was attended by the member of the Parliament of Montenegro and the president of the Democratic People’s Party (DNP) Milan Knežević and the president of Free Montenegro Vladislav Dajković.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said, during his speech in front of the Assembly, that these are his “last days and weeks as president”.
“This is probably the last time for me to address you as the President of the Republic. I love Serbia more than anything else on earth. I was never interested in anyone else’s interests. I did not want to serve anyone but the citizens of Serbia. They said that I would never leave the presidential post, these are my last days and weeks as the President of the Republic,” Vučić told the crowd in front of the Assembly.
He announced that in the upcoming elections, the SNS paper will be called “United Serbia”.
He also said that students are “toys in the hands of politicians”.
“Students were first a toy in the hands of politicians, then in the hands of others. I begged them to talk, they wanted to talk to everyone, but they didn’t want to talk to their president. The representatives of the university are not a stranger they didn’t talk to. We still extend our hand and say – a thousand and for the first time we are reaching out to you. We forgive everything you did, but we are not naive and we will not forget what was done to the country in the last year… They would destroy our country in a year or three, but we must not do that let’s allow it,” said Vučić.
SNS President Miloš Vučević previously announced that the event “will be a large public gathering before Vidovdan, where the name of the list and part of the SNS political program will be presented.”
The Assembly President Ana Brnabić, Prime Minister of Serbia Đuro Macut, ministers, President of the Assembly of Republika Srpska Nenad Stevandić, President of the Alliance of Independent Social Democrats Milorad Dodik are also attending the meeting.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia announced that around 207,000 citizens attended that public gathering.
The participants of the rally also carried the flag of Serbia, as previously announced, more than 500 meters long and about 10 meters wide from Kneza Miloša Street to the Assembly.
