Under this motto “The real after work” the summer party of the after-work series “Office Closing” took place on Thursday evening at the Cobenzl Weitsicht. Around 2,500 guests came to Döbling in temperatures of around 35 degrees. Admission to the “Office Closing X Cobenzl” was free. Numerous celebrities also accepted the invitation, such as musician Peter Legat from the band Count Basic, the presenters Kati Bellowitsch and Conny Kreuter, the actresses Christina Cervenka and Selina Graf, cabaret artist Andreas Ferner, model Lou-Anne Gleissenebner and dancing star professional Herby Stanonik, who, as he says, especially appreciates the encounters that the “office closing” events make possible.
Five DJs played classics and current hits on three floors. In addition to the eight outdoor and indoor bars, there were also several food trucks at Cobenzl – burgers and pasta were served, among other things. This year there are two “office closing” summer festivals, the second (“Summer Closing”) on August 27th. Before that, the “Office Closing X Wild Summer Open Air” will take place on July 23rd at the Fleischmarkt in the Posthöfe Vienna.
The “Office Closing” event series has been around since January 2013. It takes place every last Thursday of the month in the O-Klub Vienna and was launched by Patrik Gräftner and Michael Posch. In 2017 they expanded to Munich and in February 2025 to Stuttgart. Further locations in the federal states and in the DACH region are being planned.
“With Office Closing, we wanted to create more than just a party, it should be an experience that brings people together after a long day at work,” says Gräftner. It’s great to see “how Office Closing has developed from a small event at the Pentahotel into such a successful brand,” adds Michael Posch. “Our goal remains to carry this spirit forward.” (ed.)
