The Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), in cooperation with the American Foreign Policy Council, and in coordination with the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, announced the launch of the “Strategic Dialogue between Gulf and American Think Tanks” soon, with the participation of an elite group of experts, researchers and policy makers from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries and the United States of America.
The dialogue aims to strengthen channels of intellectual and strategic communication between the two sides, and discuss the most prominent regional and international issues and challenges, most notably the future of the Gulf-American security partnership, energy security, and economic integration, in addition to exploring the prospects for cooperation in light of the accelerating geopolitical changes.
The event witnesses the participation of Jassim Mohammed Al Budawi, Secretary-General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf, as the main speaker, as he delivers the opening speech of the dialogue. Abdullah Mohammed Al-Ahmad, CEO of the Bahrain Center for Strategic, International and Energy Studies (Derasat), and Ilan Berman, Executive Vice President of the American Foreign Policy Council, also participate in the opening session.
