The Crown Prince and Prime Minister: The King’s praise of the government’s efforts is a source of pride
His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, praised the remarkable and appreciated efforts of the government headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, during the Ashura commemoration ceremony, and preparing the means for success and providing all the required elements for this occasion, which with its privacy and spiritual character will remain the most prominent pillars of religious freedom and sectarian pluralism that the Kingdom of Bahrain has enjoyed throughout the ages.
His Majesty praised the tireless and integrated efforts made by government agencies, each in their field, to commemorate Ashura, praising the provision of all security and community services, and providing the rituals with the necessary care and follow-up to ensure that they are practiced freely and comfortably. His Majesty praised the efforts of all relevant institutions and agencies, led by the Ministry of the Interior, the Council of Islamic Endowments Affairs, distinguished scholars and sheikhs, heads of obsequies and supervisory committees, and the efforts of volunteer field work teams, appreciating what everyone showed during the Commemorating this anniversary out of awareness and national responsibility, thanking the good follow-up and the accuracy and smoothness of the organization.
His Majesty added that the commemoration of Ashura this year was characterized by the highest levels of discipline and organization, which confirms the spaciousness of Bahrain as an open and homogeneous society, and an oasis of brotherhood and peace, in the midst of a world that has no choice but to coexist and cooperate for the benefit of all.
His Majesty the King affirmed that Bahrain, with its civilized model and with the determination of our national will, will remain a humanitarian reference in the exercise of religious freedom and respect for pluralism, and a center incubating the values of our true Islamic religion with its great principles and upright approach. The Kingdom will also remain, God willing, an oasis of security and stability, a beacon of peace, and a homeland of coexistence, tolerance, and security for all its honorable people and all who live on its generous land.
