Uruguayan footballer Manuel Ugarte suffered a serious knee injury and is facing a long break, his club Manchester United and the Uruguayan Football Association announced today, June 28.
Ugarte (25) was seriously injured during the match against Spain, the last for Uruguay at the current World Cup.
In the coming days, a decision should be made as to whether Ugarte will have to undergo surgery, and according to the first estimates, he will be out for at least three months, and in case he has to undergo surgery, he would not return to the field until the end of 2026.
