The Border Defense Movement (ROG) has published further evidence on Sunday afternoon showing how German police officers are allegedly dropping migrants onto the Polish side. The practice, therefore, continues – and, moreover, is not being documented.
The situation presented by Robert Bąkiewicz on his social media took place at the border crossing in Lubieszyn. As the head of ROG reports, a patrol of the movement had been stationed at the crossing for several hours, during which nothing concerning occurred. Just minutes after the ROG representatives left, a white, unmarked van with German license plates arrived at the crossing. A migrant family exited the vehicle, accompanied by uniformed German police officers. The footage shows officers escorting the several-person family toward Poland. Polish officers were waiting for the group there, and the migrants were handed over to them. However, the recording does not show the German side providing any documents to the Polish side.
“German police are dropping migrants onto our side immediately after the ROG patrol leaves. Zero documents, zero signatures, zero identity checks”, wrote the leader of the Border Defense Movement, addressing Marcin Kierwiński, head of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration.
“Minister Kierwiński, on what legal and procedural basis did this transfer take place? We request an answer!”
