    Lieutenant General Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Minister of the Interior, expressed his full pride and appreciation for the lofty implications of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa’s praise of the remarkable and appreciated efforts of the government, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, during the Ashura commemoration ceremony, and preparing the means for success and providing all the required elements for this occasion.

    The Minister expressed his full thanks and great gratitude to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the great King of the country, the preserver of our national unity, and the symbol of tolerance and human dignity, for His Majesty’s directives to provide all the needs of the Ashura season and the elements for its success, praising the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and His Highness’s keenness to provide all means to practice religious freedoms, maintain social cohesion and stability, and enhance the spirit of cooperation and brotherhood. Among community members.

    The Minister praised the distinguished efforts made by Nawaf bin Muhammad Al-Maawda, Minister of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments, and Chairman of the Council for Islamic Endowments Affairs, for the cooperation and coordination shown by the Council in the organizational and supervisory procedures that contributed to the success of the Ashura season, noting the cooperation of the heads of funerals, those in charge of them, preachers and pioneers, which contributed to the success of this year’s Ashura season, within the context of an atmosphere of security and reassurance, despite the tense regional conditions. Which reflects everyone’s societal awareness and national responsibility.

    He explained that the heads of the funerals demonstrated their commitment and keenness to conduct the organizational process efficiently and disciplined, which contributes to preserving the security and safety of mourners and participants, in addition to proceeding with sincere national determination in the process of cooperation and coordination with the security and service authorities within the framework of the community partnership methodology.

    The Minister of Interior also expressed his appreciation to the mourners and participants for their commitment to organizational procedures and their keenness to do everything that would make the event a success and preserve its religious character, away from any external influences, noting the importance of building on the success achieved to remain a basis and method for work in the coming seasons and achieving the required societal goals.

    The Minister affirmed that the police dealt in accordance with established legal controls with the violations and transgressions that occurred and took the necessary procedures and measures to make the Ashura season a success, which deserves thanks, in appreciation of the serious and continuous work they have provided to preserve the security of the nation, and their distinguished professional performance in preserving the cultural level of Bahrain, based on the police officers’ commitment to performing their duty, serving the nation and preserving its security and stability.

    In this context, the Minister expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Chief of Police, the governors, and the general directors of the police directorates in the governorates, the Civil Defense and Traffic, the Community Service Police, and the security departments that contributed to the success of the Ashura season. He also expressed his thanks to all the relevant service agencies, most notably the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture, and all the agencies that worked to provide services during the Ashura season.

    He pointed out that the Ashura occasion requires cooperation, community cohesion, and commitment to its religious character, and must remain in this context far from any politicization or external influences, inflammatory calls and practices, and not allow any party to interfere in it or deviate from its goals. This is the basis of Bahrain’s Ashura, pointing to the shared responsibility in holding religious rituals and adhering to the controls and what is dictated by national responsibility and community awareness to consolidate the religious and societal character of the occasion, so that the nation’s highest interests remain at the forefront of the scene, based on royal patronage.
