Nikol Pashinyan, referring to the Dilijan meeting of Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the RA Security Council, and Hikmet Hajiyev, Advisor to the President of Azerbaijan on Foreign Relations, said: “This means that we are moving forward in the direction of the peace process and managing the risks that could arise… I instructed Armen Grigoryan to discuss with his Azerbaijani counterpart whether there is a need for a meeting or not.” We are busy managing the situation.” In essence, he implied that these meetings reduce the risk of war. Let’s remind that Armen Grigoryan and Hikmet Hajiyev met on June 14 and even went for a walk in Dilijan. The message about the meeting said that issues related to the Azerbaijani-Armenian peace agenda were discussed and the importance of continuing the bilateral direct dialogue was emphasized. “Hraparak” spoke with Azerbaijani expert Angela Elibegova.
– Nikol Pashinyan once again hints that they are preventing the danger and risks of war, this time with the Hajiev-Grigoryan meeting. But the same Pashinyan also regularly declares that Armenia has entered an era of peace, that by handing over Artsakh, denying it, even questioning the Armenian Genocide, he has finally established peace in the region, but it turns out that the risks of war still exist and there is a need to neutralize them. As a result, it turns out that Azerbaijan was not satisfied with occupying Artsakh and now has ambitions for the sovereign territories of the Republic of Armenia.
– First of all, it is necessary to pay attention to a very important circumstance that a high-ranking official of the country visited Armenia right after the elections. We are talking about the visit of a high-ranking official of the Azerbaijani president’s office. This is the first important thing that the public should pay attention to. Hajiyev came to Armenia to clarify the situation. It is obvious from the Azerbaijani official speech and media publications that Azerbaijan is dissatisfied with the results of the Armenian elections.
– Why is he unhappy?
– Nikol Pashinyan promised them that he would have a constitutional majority, but his calculations did not come out right, as a result, the issue of holding a constitutional referendum becomes complicated, Nikol Pashinyan was never able to get 50+1 votes, as a result, his promises to Aliyev cannot be fulfilled at the moment. There are many questions addressed to Nikol Pashinyan by Azerbaijan. if he was not able to achieve visible results by using so many fakes and administrative resources, then further steps are complicated. So that further steps are not complicated, he will try to lead the opposition’s active mass and leaders. He will isolate all the forces with public influence, taking one to prison, another under house arrest, depriving the other of the right of public activity, and so on. He will try to have a sole influence on the society in spreading his and Azerbaijan’s propaganda theses, that is, if the Constitution is not changed, war will happen. Now we are at that stage.
– In other words, we can record once again that the peace agenda, no matter how desirable it is for many, is a completely false agenda.
– That agenda was absolutely false from the first minute. No literate person can believe in the illusion of peace, even many of Nikol Pashinyan’s supporters do not believe in it.
