There was a serious accident at work in Basel: a 26-year-old man fell from a great height on a construction site on Muespacherstrasse on Tuesday morning, according to the police.
The accident occurred around 8 a.m. According to current findings from the criminal police and the Basel-Stadt public prosecutor’s office, the man sustained life-threatening injuries. Three days later, on Friday, the man died from his injuries.
The professional fire brigade from Basel-Stadt Rescue rescued the seriously injured man before the paramedics took him to the hospital. It is currently unclear how the serious accident at work occurred. The criminal police have started an investigation into exactly what happened.
