US President Donald Trump said Wednesday that Volodymyr Zelensky is doing “pretty well,” referring to the Russia-Ukraine war.
“He is resisting,” the US president said, referring to his Ukrainian counterpart at the White House press conference.
Last week, at the G7 summit in Evian, France, the American president seems to have made an unexpected turn in favor of Kiev.
The Republican, who continues to say he has a good relationship with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, had a lengthy discussion with Ukrainian President Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron.
The latter described the G7 as a “success”, especially for “Ukraine”, claiming that there was a “very fundamental difference in approach” from Trump’s American counterpart.
