The A3 motorway will be closed between the Gasperich and Bettemburg intersections due to construction work from Friday evening at 8 p.m. (June 26th) to Monday morning at 4 a.m. (June 29th). As part of the expansion of the A3, the road construction authority (“Administration des ponts et chaussées”) is carrying out extensive work. Among other things, a second row of sign gantries will be installed. In addition, specific adjustments to the Livingen motorway junction, the optimization of the access roads from the A3 to the A1 and various maintenance work are on the agenda.
The closures on the A3 in detail:

Towards Luxembourg The entrances at the Bettemburger Kreuz from the A13 to the A3 and the exit at the Livingen motorway junction from the N31 to the A3 are closed. -
Towards Metz The closures will only come into effect from 9:30 p.m. on Friday. Affected are the route on the A3 between the Gluck roundabout and the Bettemburger Kreuz, as well as the exits at the Gaspericher Kreuz from the A1 and A6, the exit at the Hesperingen interchange from the CR231 and the exit at the Livingen interchange from the N31.
Temporary closure of the “Aire de Berchem”
The closures also affect the entrances to the gas stations at the Berchem service area. This remains closed from Friday evening at 6:30 p.m. to Monday morning at 4 a.m. At the request of the daily newspaperThe operating company Q8 confirmed this temporary closure of the shop and the petrol pumps. Q8 did not want to comment on possible financial impacts.
