VMRO-DPMNE remains in the position that they should lead the health sector, and they offer or rotate culture, sports, agriculture… Vreddi would agree to rotate health, but in return asks for education or health to remain with them, but to rotate Minister Azir Aliu with Vice Prime Minister Bekim Sali
Health, justice, education, social policy, agriculture, European issues, culture and sport are the departments that are on the table before the government partners in the talks about the reconstruction of the Government. For which of the portfolios an agreement will be reached between the prime minister Hristijan Mickoski and the co-presidents of Vredi, Bilal Kasami and Izet Mejiti, as well as the president of ZNAM, Maxim Dimitrievski – to rotate them or to propose new ministers – it is expected to be clearer already tomorrow, after which the government partners will specify the personnel solutions for the portfolios.
According to the information, VMRO-DPMNE remains in the position that the department of health should be headed by them, and they offer or rotate culture, sports, agriculture. Vredi would agree to rotate health, but in return asks education or health to stay with them, but to rotate Minister Azir Aliu with Vice Prime Minister Bekim Sali. The vice prime minister’s post for good governance with the Ministry of Inter-Community Relations is also on the table for rotation, with the Ministry led by Ivan Stoilkovic taking Vredi, Stoilkovic leaving the Government, and the department of good governance going to VMRO-DPMNE. Unofficially, it is possible that a cadre from the European Front will sit in Stoilkovic’s chair, because VMRO-DPMNE keeps that place for the Turkish opposition party. It would be worth changing the department of social policy for the chair in the Ministry of Justice. According to the briefings, ZNAM is almost certain to be left without the Ministry of Justice, because Dimitrievski was told that that department is problematic. For now, there is no agreement whether the justice department will go to VMRO-DPMNE or to Vredi. Unofficially, the position of the government partners is that ZNAM has more power than it “weights”.
According to the briefings, it is important for Vredi that they boxed out Limani not only to leave the department for social policy, but also not to get any department in the Government.
ZNAM, on the other hand, remains for the time being on the consistent position that they have a four-year contract with VMRO-DPMNE for the Government, which they adhere to and which, according to them, should not be changed. This, in turn, means that ZNAM believes that their portfolios should not be tampered with. The negotiating team of ZNAM has not yet received an answer from Mickoski about the scope of the reconstruction, whether an evaluation of the work of all ministers has been done, or whether there will be early parliamentary elections. The response from VMRO-DPMNE to these questions was that they are still analyzing. There is no answer as to how ZNAM will play, i.e. whether it will remain in the Government if it loses the justice department, i.e. if it will remain with only one ministry, because everything that will be agreed between the government partners will have to go through the party bodies of ZNAM.
Mickoski stated that by the end of the week the personnel solutions and details should be known and that there will be meetings with the government partners for the reconstruction of the Government these days. He assessed that the initial talks between the government coalition partners are taking place in a constructive atmosphere.
– In the first conversations, a constructive atmosphere prevails. During this week we will have meetings again, I expect them to be final, and during the weekend it will all be formalized with names and other specifics – Mickoski said.
In an interview with “360 Degrees”, Vice Prime Minister Bekim Sali confirmed that there are discussions about a change of departments, that is, that health and European issues are at play. He said for the Ministry of Justice that it is certain that there will be new personnel there, without specifying from which party.
Asked about the statement of the leader of the Alliance for the Albanians, Arben Taravari, that he would re-enter the Government but only with a new agreement that would guarantee the start of negotiations with the EU, the Prime Minister said that this is not discussed through the media.
– There is no greater guarantee for the European integration path of the country than the final termination of the contract with the company “Gjoka Construction”. Such things are not discussed through the media – Mickoski said.
Taravari told the “Shenja” television, when asked by a journalist whether it is possible for the Alliance for Albanians to be part of the executive power again, he said that it is humiliating to enter the Government from which he has already left once, but he does not rule out the possibility of talks if, as he said, a new political agreement is reached
– Only with a new agreement in which there would be at least guarantees for the start of negotiations with the European Union and in that case constitutional amendments can be discussed, otherwise we have nothing to ask for there – Taravari said.
