The head of the Presidential Council (PC), Mohamed Menfi, has met members of the Joint Military Commission (5+5) representing western Libya in Tripoli.
According to the council, the talks reviewed steps taken with the general command to advance efforts to unify the country’s divided military institutions and improve coordination between units.
The meeting also discussed outcomes of the UN-backed Structured Dialogue, including how its recommendations could support military unification and broader security stability.
Participants stressed the need to continue joint efforts to reach military consensus, as part of wider attempts to support the political process and maintain national unity.
