The Colombian community residing in Panama showed strong support for Abelardo de la Espriella during the second presidential round held this Sunday, according to the results released by the National Registry of Civil Status.
According to bulletin 15 corresponding to the vote in Panama, and with 100% of the tables informed, The Defensores de la Patria candidate obtained 8,718 votes, equivalent to 76.02% of the valid votes counted in the Central American country.
For its part, Ivan Cepedacandidate of Historical Pactreached 2,603 votes, which represents 22.69% of the vote registered among Colombians living in Panama.
The difference between both candidates exceeded 6,000 votesreflecting a marked preference of Colombian voters residing in Panama for the candidacy of From Espriella.
