The new Minister of Defense Jeppe Bruus (S) is in Nuuk on Monday, where he will, among other things, visit the Arctic Command and a number of Greenlandic companies.
The Ministry of Defense in Denmark has got a new minister; Jeppe Bruus, who will be in Nuuk on Monday 22 June and meet with naalakkersuisoq for foreign affairs, business and raw materials, Múte B. Egede.
According to the Ministry of Defence, the two will visit the Armed Forces’ guarding contribution in Nuuk and a number of Greenlandic companies. In addition, they must visit the Arctic Command.
– I am incredibly happy to visit Greenland in my new role as Minister of Defence. I look forward to continuing the close cooperation in the area of defense and security policy together with Naalakkersuisoq for Foreign Affairs, Business and Raw Materials.
– This applies particularly in relation to the implementation of the many initiatives from the two partial agreements on the Arctic and the North Atlantic and the strengthened cooperation with NATO allies in the region, says Defense Minister Jeppe Bruus in a press release on Sunday.
Must meet with several actors
During the visit, the Minister of Defense and Naalakkersuisoq for foreign affairs will meet with the mayor of Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq, Avaaraq Olsen, and visit a number of Greenlandic companies such as Air Greenland, Tusass and Sikuki Nuuk Harbor A/S.

Chief of Defense Michael Wiggers Hyldgaard also participates in the visit.
Jeppe Bruus has previously been Minister for Green Tripartite (2024-26) and Minister of Taxation (2022-24).
