Austria beat Jordan 3:1 in Group J of the FIFA World Cup in San Francisco, USA last night.
Romano Schmid gave the Austrians the lead in the 21st minute with an impressive shot from outside the penalty area and the score was 1:0 at halftime.
The Jordanians, who are playing in their first World Cup, leveled the score in the 51st minute when Ali Olwan scored with a thunderous shot onto the post.
The Austrians regained the lead in the 77th minute when the Jordanians were unlucky to score an own goal, and in the seventh minute of stoppage time, Marko Arnautovic sealed victory for the Austrians when he scored confidently from the penalty spot.
Earlier in the night, the world champions Argentina beat Algeria 3:0 in this same group where the genius Lionel Messi scored all the goals.
