Đurašković: The capital leads disputes against the Serbian Orthodox Church, while the DPS traded with them for thirty years

I saw that the esteemed Mrs. Aleksandra Vuković-Kuč, MP of the DPS, is calling on the Capital of Cetinje to protect its land on Rijeka Crnojevića in relation to the Serbian Orthodox Church, says the mayor of Cetinje, Nikola Đurašković, in a post on Facebook.

Đurašković referred to today’s presentation by Vuković-Kuč in the Assembly, which said that the situation regarding the illegal works on the House of St. Peter Cetinje is alarming.

“He is calling on the only local self-government that leads a whole series of disputes against the Serbian Orthodox Church and the Metropolis for the return and protection of property, and its DPS managed the Capital City for 30 years and transferred land to the same church, without initiating almost a single court case for the protection of property. I hope that the honorable MP does not know this,” says Đurašković.

According to Đurašković, I believe that the respected MP of the DPS does not know that her party colleagues kept silent for 30 years and paid this church about 500 euros per month from the account of the Capital because of a fictitious settlement, and that they were not allowed to initiate a dispute to stop this scandalous arrangement.

“I am sure that she would not be silent like her colleagues from Cetinje. However, Mrs. Vuković Kuč should know that Prijestonica has a whole series of disputes with this religious organization and that we are doing everything in our power to protect the property of Cetinje and return what was taken while the DPS was silent for 30 years and traded with the Serbian Orthodox Church”, says Đurašković.

According to Đurašković, the capital is conducting court cases while DPS votes for a donation of one million euros to the Serbian Orthodox Church.

“So I often wonder if individuals from DPS think that Montenegro has collective amnesia or if they really brutally underestimate us,” concludes Đurašković.

Works on the House of St. Peter of Cetinje continue despite…
