The Dominica Athletics Association (DAA) has officially confirmed the newly elected representatives who will serve from 2026 to 2030.
Smith Telemacque of the Wesmar Rangers Track and Field Athletics Club has been chosen as the Club Representative, while Joel Hamilton of the Dominica Grammar School will take on the role of School Representative. Both individuals are expected to play key roles in strengthening the connection between athletes, clubs, and schools, ensuring that the sport continues to grow across the island.
The announcement was made by the DAA’s Public Relations Team, highlighting the importance of these roles in shaping the future of athletics in Dominica. The representatives will work closely with clubs, schools, and athletes to strengthen participation, development, and governance in the sport.
The positions of Female Athlete Representative and Male Athlete Representative remain open and will be decided by athletes themselves during the upcoming DAA National Championships.
This election marks a new chapter for the association as it continues to build on its mission of fostering excellence in athletics across Dominica.
