The head of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha in a statement to journalists, today on June 18 outside the Parliament, was asked about his statement that there may have been Serbian agents in the protests.
Berisha said that there is cooperation between Tirana and Belgrade against the protesters.
“The digital citizen told me that there are Serbian agents in the protest. This is because there is a cooperation between Tirana and Belgrade. They are getting Serbian experts of the prolonged protests and it is an anti-Albanian act. The Serbs are not behind the sun. They are contracted, Vlora pays them and all that. Vlora Çitaku is a combined agent between Rama and Vucic.”Berisha said.
Regarding the protests for Zvërnec, Berisha stated that Rama has violated several national and international laws.
“The European Parliament has expressed constant concern about constructions in protected areas. Edi Rama has violated national and international law. At ‘Zvrneci’, Rama has violated several laws. A rigorous assessment of the environment must be made. The law requires you to consult with civil society and the community. There is a convention that requires you to consult with citizens. You saw the consultation, with delay.
DP has never been against foreign investments. But Rama violated national and international laws. In addition, there is the problem of ownership. There are the “black hands” of Edi Rama. Parliament should cancel the 2024 law on construction in protected areas. Flamingos will destroy the airport”, said Berisha.
He also threw accusations at small parties. He said that the opposition of the opposition is actually party to the government.
“The small parties are nothing but the opposition of the opposition. In other words, they are party to the government. The majority who criticize the opposition are with Soros, who has worked and is working against the Democratic Party.” he declared.
Asked if he will leave PD, Berisha had this answer.
“This is to accept what Rama wants. A great effort was made to get Berisha to leave the PD and this was not achieved. Those who loved Berisha faced threats, but in the end the Democratic Party remained strong”. said Berisha.
