Mobee, the electric car-sharing scheme operated by Monaco’s Smeg group, is rolling out a larger fleet and a more straightforward pricing structure as it continues to grow across the Principality.Launched in 2014, the service is set to add 20 Fiat Topolino vehicles to its lineup this summer, joining the 20 Renault Twizy models already on the road. Both vehicle types will be offered at the same price point, part of a broader move to simplify the way Mobee structures its rates.Going forward, pricing will be organised around two straightforward categories: city cars and touring vehicles. Under this new structure, Tesla Model 3 and Smart #1 vehicles will be available at an identical rate, removing what had previously been a price gap between the two premium options and making them easier to access without users needing to weigh up cost differences.Pierre Weill, Mobee’s director at Smeg, said the changes were aimed at making shared mobility simpler, clearer and better suited to how people actually use the service, in a territory where transport solutions need to combine efficiency, flexibility and responsibility.
The electric fleet remains available around the clock, seven days a week, and can be booked through the Mobee mobile app. Vehicles can be charged free of charge at charging points across Monaco’s public car parks and on-street locations. Subscribers also benefit from a 50% discount on trip costs, with sign-up handled through the service’s online customer portal.
