Explaining the situation of drug cultivation in the country, he said: After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the cultivation, harvest and maintenance of any drug plant was banned and this ban is still in place. Any illegal cultivation will be dealt with and destroyed by the responsible authorities as soon as it is detected.
Mirzaei added: Cultivation of any basic narcotic plant is prohibited in the country, and no license has been issued for cannabis.
He emphasized that people who have information about illegal cultivation should provide it to the competent authorities so that legal follow-up can be done.

Referring to the change in the conditions of drug production in Afghanistan, the Deputy Director of Narcotics Control said: After the political developments in this country, the pattern of production has changed from traditional substances to industrial and psychoactive substances, and this issue has faced challenges in the supply of pharmaceutical raw materials.
He added: “In recent months, several tons of glass-type industrial narcotics originating from Afghanistan have been discovered. In order to compensate for the lack of medicinal raw materials, solutions such as the use of discoveries, legal imports and the use of the plant “Elifra” or Iranian anemone have been proposed, which are still under review and no license has been issued in this regard.

Referring to the increase in the production of industrial and psychoactive substances in the world, Mirzaei stated: More than a thousand types of new industrial and psychoactive drugs have been identified in the world. Although a limited number of these materials have entered the country, this amount also requires serious care and preventive measures.
He pointed out: Many of these substances are produced on the basis of glass or ice, and smugglers change their appearance and name to increase their appeal and sales, while their nature and dangers remain the same.
