The dissemination of several photographs taken by a vehicle’s cameras once again ignited alerts among residents of the town of Teusaquillo, in Bogotá.
Neighbors of the traditional Parkway sector reported that a man, who is accused of having committed auto parts thefts for several yearswas caught again while allegedly stealing one of the mirrors of a car.

According to the testimony released by the residents, The man would also have been related to similar thefts against other friends’ cars.acquaintances and even another vehicle from the same family during the last four years.
The images that managed to capture the alleged perpetrator
The complainants explained that, after several episodes, they finally managed to obtain clear photographs thanks to the cameras installed in the affected car.
“Finally today we managed to capture photos from the car’s camera so that everyone can be attentive and be very careful if they see it in the area.“, they noted in the publication shared with the community.
According to the story, the robberies usually occur after 8:00 at night in the Parkway sector, one of the busiest areas of Teusaquillo for its gastronomic offer and meeting spaces.
Neighbors maintain that this was not an isolated incident. According to what they indicated, a similar situation had already been reported to the authorities approximately three years ago.
“Approximately three years ago the police were even called, they captured him and the corresponding complaint was filed. However, today we confirm again, after this second robbery, that it appeared again and it is indeed the same person“, they stated.
To date, there is no official statement from the authorities about this specific case or about the identity of the man who appears in the photographs released by residents.

The illegal auto parts market continues to be a problem in Bogotá
The concern of the inhabitants occurs in the midst of a problem that the authorities have identified for years: vehicle theft and illegal marketing of auto parts.
According to figures cited by the Bogotá Councilcases of car theft went from 4,147 in 2024 to 3,247 in 2025. Although the figure represents a reduction, the corporation warned that the city continues to register an average close to nine vehicles stolen per day.
