According to the online economy report, quoted by IRNA, a spokesperson of the White House told CNN about the reason for Vance’s trip to Geneva, Switzerland to be canceled on Thursday night local time (Eastern USA): “The reason why this trip will not take place tonight is because of “unresolved logistical issues related to the next stage of negotiations” between Iran and the United States.
The White House spokesperson stated: “As the Vice President stated in his press conference, the planning for the upcoming technical talks has not yet been finalized and the American delegation was ready to move at the earliest possible opportunity, but the logistics and logistics of these talks have never been simple or predictable.”
The White House spokesman added: “Currently, the vice president is not leaving (the country) tonight.” We will let you know as soon as we have a concrete update on next steps.”
This White House official stated: “We look forward to the start of technical discussions as soon as possible.”
Vance was supposed to travel to Switzerland on Friday for the official ceremony of signing the memorandum of understanding.
Trump’s deputy told reporters Thursday that he plans to travel to Switzerland to sign the deal in person, though he acknowledged that the timing is still uncertain.
Vance also said technical talks to finalize the deal are expected to begin later this week and he is “definitely planning” to lead the US negotiating team.
The text of the memorandum of understanding to end the war imposed by the US-Zionist regime against the Islamic Republic of Iran was signed by the presidents of Iran and the United States in the first minutes of the morning on Thursday, June 28, 1405.
Iran’s President Masoud Al-Badzikian and US President Donald Trump signed the text of the said memorandum of understanding digitally and in absentia in a short space of time.
