MINSK – The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov arrived on a working visit to Minsk, where he will talk with the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Rizhenkov.
The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the talks are expected to cover a wide range of current issues of bilateral cooperation and the international agenda.
During his stay in Minsk, Lavrov will lay a wreath at the Liberation Monument on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War in which the Soviet Union participated.
The spokeswoman of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Marija Zaharova, announced earlier that talks with the Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs are planned in both a narrower and an expanded format, according to Srna.
