The US Department of Defense announced the third set of documents related to unusual events did. The collection includes 72 new documents about unusual objects reported by the military, federal agents and foreign observers.
It is noted that the released documents do not contain evidence of the existence of extraterrestrial life or government cover-ups.
One of the most detailed events occurred in February 2022 near Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA. Five soldiers serving at the Fort Carson military base observed an object hovering over the Cheyenne Mountain area.

FBI documents describe the object as a “potato-shaped” object with sharp edges and a whitish-yellow shiny color. Witnesses said its surface appeared to be made up of uneven and non-overlapping “coins” or panels. The object remained motionless for about two minutes and then disappeared.
Another case concerns October 2023. Six federal law enforcement officers have repeatedly observed bright orange and red orbs. The orbs appeared to appear from behind the hill, and sometimes even smaller objects seemed to break out of them, according to the documents.

Among the declassified documents is an FBI report on an incident in 2025 in the northeastern United States. A witness reported seeing a bright red ball near the forest. Inside it was said to be a light similar to a “white plasma sun” the size of a basketball. Then a second orb appeared and the objects silently disappeared from view. The case file also includes a cellphone video of two bright red objects moving across the sky.
The archive also contains a 2008 CIA document. It mentions the sighting of a disc-shaped object with rotating lights near an airport in Zimbabwe. According to the report, the beam was emitted from the object.
About 300 documents have been released so far as part of the Trump administration’s whistleblowing program.
