In extinguishing the fire between the villages of Dolani and Ljuboten in Stip, an “air tractor” plane was involved tonight, which started throwing water on the fiery element that covers a large area.
On the ground, the fire is extinguished by 18 firefighters from TPP Shtip, 12 volunteers from the Shtip Voluntary Fire Fighting Society, and the local population. With the help of excavators, cuts are made near the village of Dolani so that the fire does not spread to the houses. Since the fire is on inaccessible terrain, it is extinguished with fire extinguishers.
Zoran Mladenovski from DPD Shtip says that efforts are currently being made to prevent the fire from engulfing an old pine forest.
Earlier, the Center for Crisis Management (CMC) informed that in the fire a resident of the nearby villages, helping to put out the fire, suffered minimal burns. The Emergency Medical Assistance team immediately intervened and the person was provided with appropriate medical assistance. According to the information so far, no one else was injured in the fire.
