Panamanian fans will have free spaces to support the National Team during the group stage of the World Cup. He Panamanian Sports Institute (Pandeportes) announced the enabling five “Fan Zones” in different provinces of the country, where Panama matches will be broadcast on giant screens.
The initiative seeks to bring together the so-called Red Tide in familiar and safe environments to follow the national team’s meetings on June 17, 23 and 27.
The venues selected by the entity have the capacity to receive hundreds of fans and will be located in strategic points in the country.
In the province of Panamathe broadcasts will take place at the Roberto Durán Arena, located in the Irving Saladino Sports City. In Chiriquithe headquarters will be the La Basita gym, in David; while in Veraguas The Omar Torrijos Herrera stadium in Santiago will be used.
For their part, the residents of Herrera They will be able to go to the Los Milagros stadium, in Chitré, and in Colón the activities will take place at the Mariano Bula stadium.
According to Pandeportes, the first meeting will be broadcast on Wednesday, June 17 starting at 6:00 pm, with doors opening at 5:00 pm
The second commitment will be screened on Tuesday, June 23, also from 6:00 pm, while for the game on Saturday, June 27, the doors will open at 3:00 pm and the broadcast will begin at 4:00 pm
The entity explained that Admission will be completely free, although it will be regulated through a system of belts to guarantee capacity control and the safety of attendees.
Fans will be able to collect their headbands in advance at the Pandeportes regional offices in each province or request them at the ticket offices of the authorized venues one hour before the start of each match, subject to availability.
The institution highlighted that the measure seeks to bring the World Cup experience closer to fans who will not be able to travel to accompany the National Team and offer coexistence spaces to support the national team.
The announcement comes weeks after the President of the Republic, José Raúl Mulino, announced that giant screens would be installed in different parts of the country so that the population could follow the national team’s matches.
However, so far it has not been specified whether the places mentioned above, including Parque Omar, Atlapa and Tocumen, will remain within the strategy or if they were replaced by the stadiums and gyms announced by Pandeportes.
With this initiative, the sports entity hopes to gather thousands of fans of the National Team in different parts of the country to accompany Panama in its World Cup commitments.
