The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, received, on Sunday, in his office at the General Command of the Jordanian Armed Forces – Arab Army, the Commander-in-Chief of the US Ground Forces in Central Command, Lieutenant General Kevin Leahy and the accompanying delegation.
The two sides discussed aspects of military cooperation and coordination between the Jordanian Armed Forces and the US Army, and ways to strengthen the strategic partnership in various military fields, in a way that contributes to supporting security and stability and confronting common challenges.
The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff stressed the depth of relations between the armed forces of the two friendly armies, praising the level of cooperation existing between the two sides.
In turn, Lieutenant General Leahy expressed his appreciation for the pivotal role played by the Jordanian Armed Forces in establishing security and stability at the regional and international levels.
The meeting was attended by a number of senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces and the US Defense Attaché in Amman.
