
In the presence of His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the American University of Bahrain held a graduation ceremony for the fourth batch of bachelor’s and master’s students, which numbered 148 students from various academic disciplines, at the Bahrain International Exhibition Center, in the presence of a number of Their Excellencies and invitees, members of the university’s academic and administrative bodies, and parents of the graduating students. Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, delivered a speech in which she expressed her thanks to His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa for His Highness’s patronage of the graduation ceremony of the fourth cohort of the American University of Bahrain. She also congratulated the graduates on this academic achievement, praising the hard work, diligence and perseverance they demonstrated throughout their university journey, and the model they presented that reflects ambition and the desire to learn and develop.
She pointed out that the Kingdom of Bahrain, under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of the country, and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, has paid great attention to human development as the basic pillar of comprehensive development, by investing in education, developing national capabilities and empowering young competencies to contribute to the process of progress and prosperity. After that, Dr. Wafa Al Mansouri, Acting President of the University and Head of Academic Affairs, delivered a speech in which she expressed sincere thanks and appreciation to His Highness. Sheikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa, upon His Highness’s kindness to sponsor the graduation ceremony of the fourth cohort of the American University of Bahrain, stressing that this generous sponsorship embodies the support and interest that the higher education sector in the Kingdom receives, and constitutes an important impetus for continuing to develop an advanced educational environment based on academic quality and innovation, and keeping pace with the needs of the labor market and the requirements of national development. She pointed out that the university has been keen, since its establishment, to provide an integrated educational experience that keeps pace with the aspirations and needs of the labor market, through an integrated educational environment that embraces creativity, develops the spirit of research and participation, and gives students the opportunity to hone their academic, personal and professional abilities in various fields. We are confident that they will be the best ambassadors for the university and its values, with the knowledge, responsibility and ambition they carry that qualifies them to contribute to the building and renaissance of their homeland, the dear Kingdom of Bahrain.
His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa kindly presented the awards to the honored students, and academic excellence awards were also given to the top graduates from various colleges, in addition to a number of special awards that celebrate the students’ excellence and academic achievements. A souvenir gift was also presented to His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Abdullah bin Hamad Al Khalifa on this occasion.
It is worth noting that 148 male and female students from various academic disciplines graduated, in a new station that reflects the growth of the university’s journey and its role in preparing qualified national cadres who possess the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute to various vital sectors in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Student Maryam Mohammed Madan received the Best Academic Achievement Award for the College of Business and Administration, presented by the National Bank of Bahrain, while student Ali Khalifa Al Thawadi received the Best Academic Achievement Award for the College of Engineering and Computing, presented by Gulf Air, and student Israa Ali bin Rajab received the Best Academic Achievement Award for the College of Media and Design, presented by Khaleeji Bank.
The honor also included presenting the Pune Award to the student, Salwa Bishara, from the Pune Company, and Dr. Wafaa Al-Mansouri presented a training scholarship at McLaren Racing to the student, Maria Al-Awadhi.CERNTraining for student Nour Abdul Jalil and student Muhammad Al-Touq, for a period of one year.
