Apple took advantage of the World Developers Conference (WWDC) 2026 to introduce Siri’s biggest revamp since its debut. After months of delays and expectations, the company finally showed Siri AIa new generation of its digital assistant powered by Apple Intelligence that seeks to turn interaction with iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Vision Pro and other devices into a more natural, contextual and useful experience.
The Cupertino firm’s commitment comes at a time when assistants based on artificial intelligence, such as those powered by large language models (LLM), have raised user expectations.
The response of Apple It consists of a Siri capable of maintaining fluid conversations, understanding personal information, analyzing what is happening on the screen and performing complex actions between different applications without the need for detailed instructions.
“We’re excited to introduce Siri AI, the new version of Siri powered by Apple Intelligence. It’s smarter, more flexible and more capable,” said Craig Federighi, Apple’s senior vice president of Software Engineering.
The company assured that the new experience will initially be available in beta version and in English, although it announced that it will expand to more languages in the future.

One of the most relevant changes is the incorporation of personal context. Siri AI You will be able to use information stored in messages, emails, notes, photographs and calendars to offer more precise responses tailored to each user.
The intention is that people no longer have to constantly repeat information during a conversation. The assistant will be able to follow the thread of an interaction, remember previous references and use that data to respond more naturally.
“Its capabilities include understanding personal context, actions within applications, awareness of what is happening on the screen, understanding images and accessing real-world knowledge,” explained Mike Rockwell, vice president of engineering at Siri.
This ability also extends to previous conversations. Apple presented a Siri application that will store the history of interactions and allow you to resume them from any device. Thanks to private synchronization through iCloud, a conversation started on iPhone can be continued on iPad and ended on Mac, for example.
The new Siri won’t be limited to answering quick questions or executing simple commands. Apple wants to turn it into a tool capable of collaborating on everyday tasks, personal organization and productivity.

According to the manager, users will be able to request detailed plans, exchange ideas, receive feedback on documents or generate content from personal information and knowledge obtained from the web.

In this way, Siri will be able to interpret what appears in real time on the device and act accordingly, allowing you to ask questions about images, texts, schedules, documents or any visible content without having to describe it manually.
“You just have to press the shutter so Siri sees what you see and can answer questions or take actions,” explained Sebastien Marineau-Mes, vice president of Intelligent Systems Experience.
The feature can recognize objects, analyze images, provide contextual information and suggest relevant actions. Apple highlighted that this visual understanding is supported by its founding models and Private Cloud Compute, an infrastructure designed to protect user privacy.
Added to this are new writing tools integrated throughout the system. Siri will be able to write drafts from scratch, correct texts and adapt the tone of messages and emails according to the person with whom you are having the conversation.
The company also announced significant improvements to dictation, with greater accuracy in recognizing spelling, punctuation and capitalization. These functions will be available in practically any text field in the operating system.
Apple confirmed that Siri AI will come to iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, CarPlay, AirPods and Vision Pro. On this latest device, the experience will take advantage of spatial computing through a three-dimensional interface that can be located anywhere in the user’s environment.
In addition, the firm presented a new voice experience for devices compatible with the advanced model that runs directly on the computer. Users will be able to customize the assistant’s expressiveness, rhythm and even the type of voice. Although at the moment it will only be available in English, it was reported that it will soon be able to be used in other languages.
With these new features, Apple seeks to transform Siri from being a simple command assistant to becoming a personal intelligence capable of collaborating on complex tasks and accompanying the user throughout its entire digital ecosystem.
