The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has declared that the USA did not need the support of its European allies in dealing with the crisis with Iran, stressing that his country “has won the war”.
“We didn’t need their support. We won the war. It was kind of trivial. I have to go, I have a big meeting going on, but we won the war in Iran. We didn’t need their help. Thank you very much,” said Trump, according to the report of the Omnibus program on La7, in a phone call with Daniele Compatangelo.
The statement came in response to a question on the role of European leaders and G7 countries in managing the crisis with Iran. Trump has argued that the support of European allies was “insignificant”, claiming that the United States achieved its objectives without their input.
