A Ukrainian drone strike in southern Russia has killed one person and injured at least three others, regional authorities said, while nearly 100 people battled to put out a fire.
The attack damaged the port in Temryuk district on the Sea of Azov, near the Kerch Strait that separates mainland Russia from the Crimean peninsula, which Moscow has occupied since 2014.
“A fire broke out at the marine terminal due to the falling debris of the drone … one person was killed,” the governor posted on Telegram Veniamin Kondratiev.

The Russian military said it shot down a total of 177 Ukrainian drones overnight.
Ukraine has stepped up its campaign of attacks inside Russia in recent months, claiming it is fair retaliation for massive Russian bombing in the more than four-year conflict.
Kiev insists that the Ukrainian military is targeting military facilities and energy infrastructure first and foremost, seeking to deprive the Kremlin of key fossil fuel revenues.
