The Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) has launched “Summer the Nature Island Way,” a new seasonal travel initiative aimed at showcasing the island’s diverse tourism offerings through a series of curated visitor experiences, according to a DDA press release.
The initiative, which falls under the destination’s Nature of Love campaign, features eight itineraries designed to help travelers discover Dominica through adventure, wellness, culture and nature-based activities. The DDA said in a press release that the itineraries were developed as a practical planning tool to help visitors navigate the island while encouraging longer stays and greater engagement with communities across the country.
As per the press release, the collection includes four multi-day vacation itineraries and four full-day tours tailored to a variety of travel interests, including family experiences, romance, adventure, wellness, and cultural exploration.
“Summer the Nature Island Way highlights the many ways visitors can experience Dominica,” said Marva Williams, Chief Executive Officer of the Discover Dominica Authority. “These itineraries provide inspiration and practical guidance for exploring the island while connecting with our people, culture, and natural environment. Whether visitors are seeking adventure, wellness, romance, or quality time with loved ones, Dominica offers experiences that create meaningful and lasting memories.”
Presented at a time when Dominica has been receiving international recognition as a destination for nature-based and experiential travel, the press release noted that the island was named among National Geographic’s Best Places in the World to Travel in 2026, ranked first on BBC Travel’s Top 25 Places to Travel in 2025 list, and identified by Caribbean Travel Trends 2026 as the region’s strongest-performing destination.
As part of the Nature of Love campaign, the initiative is intended to encourage visitors to experience the connections fostered through nature, wellness, culture and shared experiences while exploring the island’s tourism product, the DDA said.
The itineraries are reportedly designed to support local tourism stakeholders by directing visitors to businesses and service providers across the island.
The authority further noted that the campaign reinforces Dominica’s positioning as a wellness destination by highlighting experiences centered on nature, outdoor recreation, cultural immersion, and personal well-being.
The multi-day itineraries include a four-day family-focused experience featuring waterfalls, marine activities, and cultural attractions; a five-day romantic getaway for couples; a six-day adventure package centered on hiking, canyoning, and river activities; and a five-day wellness retreat focused on relaxation, mindfulness, and healthy living.
The initiative also includes four full-day tours. These are the Roseau Valley Day Tour, which highlights attractions in and around Morne Trois Pitons National Park; the Northern Treasures Day Tour, which combines rainforest exploration, heritage experiences, and coastal attractions; Calibishie Indulgence: Rum, Rocks & Relaxation, showcasing sites and experiences in the northeast; and City Treasures & Jungle Gems, which combines historic sites in Roseau with natural attractions.
