The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (POTfor its acronym in English), continues to make progress in its efforts to study the Moon and lay the foundation for the first manned missions to Mars.
With the first progress of the new mission Artemis IIIthe agency has once again taken the reins of the lunar exploration on the international space agenda and is about to reveal the identity of the next astronauts who will make history.

The next Tuesday June 9 at 9:00 in the morning (central Mexico time), NASA will present the team of four astronauts that will travel on board of the mission Artemis IIIwhich will search carry humans to the moon surface in 2027.
The press conference, in which the progress of the mission will also be presented, will be held at the Johnson Space Center of the agency, in Houston. The live broadcasts will be available through the platform NASA+ and the official channel of YouTube of dependency:

After the successful manned test flight Artemis IIIn April 2026, the new space mission of the Artemis program will seek to launch four astronauts into space for take them to the surface of the Moon.
The crew will travel on the Orion spacecraftwhich will be aboard the SLS rocket (Space Launch System, for its acronym in English) and will be launched from the Kennedy Space Center from NASA, in Florida.
“The mission will test the critical rendezvous and docking capabilities between Orion and commercial human landing systems needed to deliver astronauts to the lunar surface. Building on the successful manned test flight of Artemis II in April, Artemis III will pave the way for future missions to the Moon“says one of the first descriptions of the agency.

NASA has also stated that as part of a “golden age of innovation and exploration,” they will send astronauts in increasingly complex missions to be able explore the moon for scientific purposes and “economic benefits”, as well as to continue laying the foundation of the first manned missions to Mars.
