London – (dpa):
Nassir Mazraoui, the star of the Moroccan national football team, has overcome fears and is available to play the team’s opening match in the World Cup against Brazil, according to the official website of his English club, Manchester United.
The Manchester United defender suffered a shoulder injury during the friendly match played by the Moroccan national team with its Norwegian counterpart in preparation for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Mexico and Canada, which raised concerns about his participation in the World Cup.
The English club explained that Mazraoui returned to training with the Moroccan national team, after training in the gym as a precautionary measure, noting that the player underwent a careful examination by the medical staff of his country’s national team, and hopes that he will be ready for the expected match against Brazil in the third group of the group stage of the World Cup, at MetLife Stadium, tomorrow evening, Saturday, local time.
On the other hand, Casemiro and Matheus Cunha are scheduled to participate with the Brazilian national team in this anticipated confrontation, according to the same source.
It is noteworthy that the third group also includes the teams of Haiti and Scotland.
