Mrs. Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi, Minister of Housing and Urban Planning, witnessed the start of the foundation pouring work for the project to construct 44 new housing units in Salman City, which falls within the ministry’s plan to implement 137 new housing units in Salman City within the framework of government land development rights program projects, in the presence of Mr. Omar Faisal Al Tamimi, CEO of First Bahrain Real Estate Development Company, and a number of officials.
Minister Al-Rumaihi stressed that the continued introduction and implementation of government land development rights program projects embodies the success of this development path in supporting efforts aimed at accelerating the provision of housing services to citizens, in implementation of the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, to accelerate the pace of housing projects to provide 50,000 housing units, noting the interest given by the government, headed by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. She added that this project comes within the Ministry’s plan to implement 137 housing units in Salman City in cooperation with the private sector, stressing that these strategic partnerships contribute to increasing the housing supply and expanding the options of citizens benefiting from housing programs, in a way that supports achieving the goals of the housing sector in the Kingdom.
The Minister explained that the program represents an advanced model of partnership between the public and private sectors, as it contributes to benefiting from the expertise and development capabilities of the private sector to provide quality housing products that meet the needs of the Bahraini family, noting that the Ministry continues to expand the scope of this program in various governorates.
Minister Al-Rumaihi pointed out that the new project represents an extension of the successes achieved by the government land development rights program, citing projects that witnessed wide demand from citizens, including the “Suhail” project in the Al-Lawzi region, the “Al-Naseem neighborhood” in Salman City, the “Al-Wadi” in the Al-Buhair region, and the “Danat Sanad” project.
Minister Al Rumaihi also praised the efforts of First Bahrain Real Estate Development Company and its commitment to implementing the project according to the highest approved technical and engineering standards, noting the effectiveness of these partnerships in accelerating the pace of completion and providing various residential options.
For his part, Mr. Omar Faisal Al Tamimi, CEO of First Bahrain Real Estate Development Company, expressed the company’s pride in cooperating with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in implementing this project, stressing that the partnership with the Ministry represents a successful model of integrated partnership between the public and private sectors in developing residential projects.
He explained that the company is keen to implement the project according to the highest technical and engineering specifications and adherence to the specified timetable, ensuring its completion according to the set targets, and contributing to supporting national efforts aimed at providing more housing options for citizens.
Al-Tamimi stressed that the government land development rights program has proven its success in promoting urban development and providing integrated housing projects, noting that the company looks forward to continuing cooperation with the Ministry in implementing more projects that contribute to achieving the goals of housing development in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
It is worth noting that the project will provide housing units with modern specifications, areas and prices that comply with the requirements of the Ministry’s financing programs in cooperation with the financing banks.
