Wars abroad show vulnerabilities in Swedish society, according to the Green Party. Fossil products are currently used in chemical pesticides, mineral fertilizers and, not least, in agricultural transport and machinery.
When the price of fossil fuels goes up, the price of food also goes up, said spokesperson Amanda Lind at a press conference.
The party wants to increase the number of electric tractors and introduce a “green deduction” for farms that produce and store renewable energy themselves, for example through solar power and batteries. It also wants to increase biogas production fivefold in Sweden.
The state should provide funding to those who dare to drive development and want to be at the forefront, said Lind.
