The former mayor of the municipality of Debrca, Zoran Nogaceski, is suspected of not paying taxes to citizens and companies for 8 years, thus damaging the municipality for about 7,000 euros.
“SVR Ohrid filed a criminal complaint against Z.N. (60) from the village of Volino, municipality of Debrca, due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of the crime of ‘abuse of official position and authority’ under Article 353 of the Criminal Code. The accused, in the period from 2017 to 2025, in his capacity as mayor of the municipality of Debrca, failed to identify legal and natural persons who are owners, users or holders of the right to dispose of immovable property in the territory of the municipality of Debrca who are subject to the obligation to pay property tax, as well as for their re-taxation”, said the police.
With that, the statement added, the defendant damaged the municipality of Debrca in the amount of 431,245 denars (about 6,995 euros).
